Merging Two Condo Units
In this project, we transformed two adjacent condo units into a single expansive living space.
A Stunning Transformation: Two Condos Into One Dream Home
Our clients purchased two adjacent apartments with a vision of creating one spacious, unified home. The journey began with securing the building permits, followed by a collaboration with renowned architect Mary G., who crafted the final architectural plans.
Once the plans were set, we commenced demolition and tackled the challenges of rough electrical and plumbing work, including the installation of new gas lines. The electrical work proved especially tricky, as we had to run lines from the main mechanical room in the basement to the fourth floor. Navigating through chases, we overcame numerous obstacles, made more complex by structural ceilings that restricted typical wiring paths.
With the technical hurdles cleared, we moved on to framing, designing elegant archways for the condo’s primary living areas. Then, we closed the walls, insulated them, and began the meticulous plaster work that would define the home’s character.
A standout feature of this project was the custom plaster crown molding. Using ingenuity, we crafted a unique template and patiently shaped the plaster, resulting in a stunning, handcrafted detail that became a focal point of the space.
Finally, we installed cabinetry, bathroom fixtures, and lighting, and completed the project by fitting high-end appliances. The transformation was remarkable, and our clients couldn’t be happier. They continue to trust us for additional home projects, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing their vision to life.
